Jonathan Michael Majors is an American actor and the star of movies like Hostiles, White Boy Rick, and Creed III, was recently came into the news due to his case of domestic violence. The actor was sentenced to a year for his crime related to domestic violence, harassment, and reckless assault.
Yesterday, (on April 8, 2024), Jonathan Majors was sentenced to behind bars for a year due to harassing his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari. Last year, in December 2023, the jury found the actor guilty and sentenced him. The criminal complaint indicates that Jonathan Major hit Jabbari’s face and hurt her arm, which led to the fracturing of her finger.
In addition to that, the girl had also stated that Jonathan Major had affected her physically and psychologically, and due to his abusive nature, his girlfriend had to deal with a lot of issues.
Jonathan’s affair also worked as fuel in the fire. According to the official sources, the actor was involved in a relationship with other women, while the defense authorities have mentioned that, Jonathan’s girlfriend, Jabbari has accused the actor out of jealousy.
Apart from that, the Jury’s eight-hour-long inspection, observation, and lawful acts helped them to reach a final verdict, where Major was found guilty and the court sent him behind bars with a punishment of prison. Further, the jury also acquitted the actor for two primary charges where he acted harassing and was involved in hitting a woman. Not only that, but the defense lawyers had also suggested Major approach Good Morning America and claim that he has never hit a woman in his life.
Later, in March, Jabbari filed a federal lawsuit and accused the actor of the case of defamation, and filing a false police report against her, where she mentioned that Jonathan was engaged in a ‘Pattern of Pervasive Domestic Abuse.’ The incident was not new for her.
Jabbari had added that their two years of relationship were full of abuse and harassment, including the incident where the actor had defamed Jabbari on several occasions and the GMA interview. In the end, Jonathan Major’s ex-girlfriend said that the actor used to get violent temper issues in their relationship and she further refer the actor as ‘a monster.’
