Netflix’s Series The Last Kingdom Star Adrian Schiller Passed Away at 60

Adrian Schiller, the actor famous for his role, Lord Aethelhelm in The Last Kingdom on Netflix, died at the age of 60.  As per the reports, the actor died on April 3, and the cause of his death is not specified. His agent Amanda Evans confirmed the news by releasing a statement.

The death news of Schiller shocked his fans, and a lot of people paid tribute to him using social media.

Adrian Schiller’s Acting Career

Adrian Schiller was born in 1964, and he started his acting career in 1992, by playing a role in an episode in the series Prime Suspect. His first movie appearance was in the film RKO 281 in 1999.

The acting career of Schiller was a prominent turn recently. He played an important character in the drama Victoria, where he portrayed the role of Mr. Penge, a footman at the palace. He also voiced the HBO Max series Raised by Wolves’ character Otho.

Schiller appeared in the crime drama Death in Paradise as Pasha Verdinikov on BBC in two episodes. He played the character of a pianist who was killed brutally in a burglary.

Schiller appeared in several films also. He acted in the movie Beuty and Beast in 2017, where he played the role of Monsieur D’Arque, who is a local asylum’s sly warder. He was also part of the film Suffragette as the character David Lloyd George. His other works include Bright Star, The Danish Girl, The Mercy, Tolkien, and Censor.

In addition to his career as an actor, he played a major part in voicing video games. The first video game he voiced was Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings in 2009. He also voiced the video games including Castlevania: The Lords of Shadows, GoldenEye 007, Fable III, and Assassin’s Creed III.

Last year, Schiller performed The White Factory at the Marylebone Theatre. The official Twitter account of the theatre expressed their condolence by stating that they were devastated to hear the death of the incredible actor. 

His other theatre works are The Merchant of Venice (Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre), and The Crucible (National Theatre).

Schiller was supposed to be part of the upcoming project Dog Days, which is a TV movie comedy, that features famous actors Laila Zaidi, Adam Lawrence, and Louise Jameson.

Adrian Schiller got sudden fame in the blockbuster TV show The Last Kingdom, in which he played the character Ealdorman Aethelhelm, who is the richest man in Wessex and trying to put the throne of England to his future grandchildren. He appeared in the five-season series 25 episodes, starting in the third season.
