Sydney Sweeney Fires Back Carol Baum’s Comments “Not Pretty” and “Can’t Act”
Recently, the Euphoria actor Sydney Sweeney was criticized by the producer Carol Baum. She commented that the actor “is not pretty” and “can’t act”. Sydney Sweeney’s representatives fired back at the producer’s comment in an interview.
They said that it was sad a woman attacked another woman rather than sharing her experience and expertise in her position. Primarily, she is an adjunct professor at the University of Southern California. They also added that it was shameful what she had learned about the industry over decades and felt it was appropriate to teach her students.
Carol Baum stated the comment during a conversation with New York Times film critic Janet Maslin at an event held at the Jacob Burns Center before the screening of her film Dead Ringers(1988).
She started the conversation by mentioning the actress everybody loves now, Sydney Sweeney. She watched the movie of Sydney Sweeney’s movie Anyone But You on the Plane because she wanted to know who she was and why everybody was talking about her. She also added that the movie was unwatchable.
She continued the conversation by asking her class to explain about Sydney Sweeney regarding the question she was not pretty and couldn’t act. Then why was she so hot? And nobody answered. After the event, Janet Maslin confirmed the criticism of Baun against Sydney Sweeney on social media.
Many people slammed Baun’s statement and shared their opinions on social media. One of them commented that Carol seemed to have ugliness inside and out. Another one said that the typical feminist always shows their insecurities to others.
