8 Movies Like Fatale You Love to Watch

One of the 2020s American Psychological thrillers, Fatale, is definitely a movie we hope you have had the chance to see and enjoy, right, guys? After watching Fatale, a lot of people have wanted to find other movies like it.

In this article, we’ll share a list of movies and one series we think are similar to Fatale.

About Fatale:

Set in the world of American Psychological Thrillers, Fatale was directed by Deon Taylor, written by David Loughery, and produced by Hilary Swank, Roxanne Avent, and Deon Taylor. The movie follows Derrick, a successful sports agent stuck in a married man’s dilemma, who finds solace in another.

One day, he meets a woman who is beautiful beyond description and spends one night with her. From the next day on, he starts to feel something is wrong with him, and then learns that the beautiful woman is actually a police detective.

In a nutshell, Fatale shows a crime and its punishment. The makers also wanted to show some very difficult situations Derrick faces, and they did a good job.

1. Deep Water:

Like Fatal Attraction, Deep Water also has a trapped situation like Vic’s, and both movies share many similar plot elements.

Deep Water is a 2022 psychological erotic thriller film directed by Adrian Lyne, with a screenplay by Zach Helm and Sam Levinson, based on the 1957 novel of the same name by Patricia Highsmith. The film follows Vic and Melina’s perilous marriage.

Their relationship continues to deteriorate, and though they have no respect for each other, Melina eventually leaves Vic to pursue a love interest.

Vic was aware of Melina’s extramarital affairs and chose to ignore them, refusing to divorce her. However, one of her lovers fled the situation, and this time Melina blamed Vic for all his dirty deeds.

2. Burning:

Burning is a 2018 South Korean psychological thriller film directed by Lee Chang-dong, based on the short story of the same name by Haruki Murakami. The film follows a trio: Jong-Su, who dreams of becoming a novelist; Hae-mi, Jong-Su’s neighbor and former classmate; and Ben, the enigmatic man they both meet.

After Ben’s introduction, the movie takes a new direction, and Jong-Su realizes something is amiss. Soon, he is certain that Hae-Mi is in danger. Like Derrick, who sets out to answer the mysteries surrounding him, Jong-Su is determined to gather evidence against Ben to protect Hae-Mi.

3. Unfaithful:

Once again, The Unfaithful and Fatale share similar plot structures, focusing on how a marriage begins to deteriorate with each new episode. If you enjoyed Fatale, you may want to check out Unfaithful.

Like Fatale, Unfaithful is another erotic thriller, directed and produced by Adrian Lyne, along with G. Mac Brown, who also produced the film. The 1969 French-Italian crime drama film, The Unfaithful Wife, served as the basis for the original Unfaithful.

It follows Edward and Connie, a happy couple living in New York City. It portrays their marriage until Connie begins an extramarital affair and an encounter that negatively impacts their previously happy marriage.

4. To Die For:

Like The Fatal Attraction, To Die For is another Psychological thriller you may want to check out. The end of the film is similar to the Derrick situation; Suzanne finds herself in a mysterious situation and plot, and now she must find a way to escape it.

To Die For primarily focuses on its three main characters: Suzanne, Larry Maretto, and Jimmy Emmett. Suzanne is a motivated young reporter wanting to cover the news and reports the forecast. Unfortunately, one of her colleagues tells her that to be a news reporter, she must get rid of her middle-class husband, Larry Maretto.

Later, Suzanne enlists the help of a young boy, Jimmy, who also works with her, but as the show goes on, Suzanne begins to believe that she is the victim of a practical joke and that the prank is becoming more and more manipulative.

5. The Talented Mr. Ripley:

The Talented Mr. Ripley is a 1999 American Psychological Thriller film directed by Anthony Minghella, and is based on the novel of the same name by Patricia Highsmith. William Horberg and Tom Sternberg produced the film.

The Talented Mr. Ripley is one of my favorite movies because it tells a beautiful story about a mysterious murder and so much more. It starts with Tom Ripley, who is not successful in his life. Later, he gets a task to go to Italy and bring back Dickie Greenleaf, a wealthy, blight millionaire playboy.

As the movie continues, we see suspense and mysteries unravel one after another. Like Fatale, The Talented Mr. Ripley shows many strange and unusual things throughout the movie.

6. Fatal Attraction:

The plot of Fatale and Fatal Attraction was similar. Derrick’s life changed after spending a night with a mysterious woman; something similar happened with Dan here.

Dan is a very successful lawyer who lives a pleasant life with his wife and daughter. After Alex’sAlex enters the picture, everything starts changing in Dan’s life, just like in Derrick’s. Then, Dan starts finding ways to save his and his family members’ lives.

7. The Loft:

The Loft is another of my favorite super-mysterious thriller films that revolves around five friends who secretly met at a penthouse they bought for their extramarital affairs. But one day, they find a woman’s body in the house, and the whole story turns into a mystery.

One of the five men is the murderer, so they all start interrogating each other about their loyalty. Like Derrick’s life, The Loft also depicts this desperation differently.

8. Gone Girl:

Another unconventional marriage in a film is depicted in Fatale. This marriage creates painful moments in the film.

Gone Girl is about Nick and Amy, a couple with a marital problem. Nick wants a divorce from Amy. But before Nick could finalize his divorce, Amy is kidnapped. Now, all the people blame Nick for Amy’s kidnapping.

Final Words:

The films mentioned above are psychological thrillers. I think if you liked the Fatale movie, you will definitely like the series mentioned above.
