Julia Garner Joins with Josh Brolin for the New Horror Movie Weapons

Ozark actor Julia Garner will join as a lead role in the horror film Weapons, directed by Zach Cregger, the director of the horror movie ‘Barbarian.’ The filming will be scheduled to start in the spring, beginning in May and continuing through July. Garner will play opposite Josh Brolin.

The film was initially scheduled to start in late 2023 but was pushed back due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. The plot of the film is kept under wrap. However, Cregger described his film as a horror epic of interrelated multistory, which has been compared to the 1999 film Magnolia.

The team behind Barbarian will reunite to create the upcoming film, including Roy Lee, J.D. Lifshitz, and Raphael Margules as producers. Miri Yoon also will be part of the team.

There is no further information available for the character of Garner, but she will be a perfect choice for the film. Garner has already proved her talent throughout her acting career.
