Ruby Rose Undergoes Urgent Neck Surgery, Attributes Injury to ‘Batwoman’ Stunt Work

Ruby Rose, the former Batwoman, has spoken out about undergoing emergency neck surgery for a severe herniated disk – an injury she previously claimed came from the arduous physical and stunt work she had to do while working on the CW superhero series.

Ruby Rose had neck surgery to fix a major herniated disk. Rose has publicly said the injury was worsened by the heavy physical demands and stunt work required for her role as Kate Kane / Batwoman on the CW series, as well as other action film roles.

Ruby Rose, who played Kate Kane on the CW’s Batwoman during its first season (2019–2020), has been very public about the serious physical toll her acting career has taken on her body. In public statements and interviews, Rose also said he needed neck surgery because of a herniated disk.
