Kate Beckinsale is Back on Red Carpet After ‘Rough Year’ Health Scare

Kate Beckinsale returns on the red carpet after her hospital stay due to health issues. She appeared in the King’s Trust Gala in New York City on May 2. It is an event to support the charity of King Charles. During that event, Kate told PEOPLE, “It’s been a rough year”.

In that event, she wore a one-shoulder white ruffled dress with a cut out on one side of her stomach and a thigh-high slit paired with a high heel. She tied her hair in a bounciest high ponytail with a black bow. She wore minimal jewelry, including diamond drop earrings and a diamond ring, and carried along with a bejeweled green clutch.

The other guest stars who attended the event were Chrissy Teigen, John Legend, Rita Ora, Penélope Cruz, and Kate Moss.

Beckinsale was last spotted on the red carpet at the SAG-AFTRA awards in February. After that, she didn’t appear in the spotlight as she focused on her health. Between March and April, she was admitted to the hospital for several days. She posted multiple pictures on Instagram of her hospital stay.

On March 10, Kate posted a photo of herself in the hospital with a teary eye to pay tribute to her mother on UK’s Mother’s Day. In that post, she wrote, “Happy birthday and UK Mother’s Day this last week to my incredible mother.” She also thanked the people who support and love them.

After the next few days, she posted more photos during her hospital stay, including snuggling with her cat, Willow, and a visit from her pomeranian, Myf. She also shared a post on Easter, showing her festive socks with the caption “Happy Easter.”

In April, she shared a series of snaps with her friend Jonathan Voluck, who had visited her in the hospital. The two of them wore a peanut headband and posed for the camera.

On April 7, Kate shared another footage from her home on her Instagram stories with her pets, Myf and Pooch. In that video, her dog jumped excitedly on the bed, and she wrote the caption, “Pom, chumps, chumping”. After that, she deleted all the posts related to her hospital stay.

One week after deleting all the hospital stay photos, Kate shared a new post, which hinted that her health issue was stomach-related. In that photo, she wore a T-shirt that was written “Tummy Troubles Survivor.” While she didn’t say publicly about the reason behind her hospital say.
