Drake’s Security Guard Shot and Seriously Injured at Toronto Mansion

A security guard who has been working at Drake’s Toronto mansion was injured in a shooting outside his home on May 7. Police arrived at 2 am on Tuesday, found the guard in a wounded condition, and were taken to the hospital.

Paul Krawczyk, an inspector of Toronto Police, said at the press conference that the victim was standing outside the gate of the mansion when the shooting happened. He was admitted to the hospital in a critical condition. He also added that the motive for the shooting was currently unknown.

He further continued that the security camera from outside the house captured the footage including several individuals who performed the shooting in a vehicle. However, he didn’t provide any further information regarding the details of the suspects and vehicle.

The police didn’t confirm whether Drake was present there at the time of the shooting. But they said they had contacted his team and cooperated with the investigation.

The incident took place following the feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar through their tracks. Krawczyk stated that he was aware of the feud, but it was early stages of the investigation, and they didn’t have a motive at this time.

The war between them started when Drake released a song in collaboration with J. Cole, “First Person Shooter.” On that track, Cole referred to the word “Big Three, ” including him, Drake, and Lamar.

Lamar replied to their track by releasing another song, “Like That,” with Metro Boomin and Future, in which he stated through the song that there is no “Big Three,” just “Big me”.  When Future and Metro Boomin released “We Still Don’t Trust You,” things became heated, as Billboard magazine indicated that it was a criticism of Drake.

Drake released a dis track, “Push Ups, last month, in which he made fun of Lamar’s shoe size and his collaboration with pop stars. He also lashes out at Rick Rose, who has been featured on “We Don’t Trust You.” Ross took his social media account and began a word war against Drake. He accused Drake of undergoing plastic surgery.

The battle between Drake and Lamar became even more personal when Drake released an eight-minute dis track, “Family Matters”. In that track, Drake accused Lamar and his fiancée, Whitney Alford, of domestic violence and claimed that one of his children is not his biological child.

In response to “Family Matters,” Lamer dropped another track, “Meet The Grahams,” in which he addressed Drake’s parents and his son. Lamar also claimed Drake had a secret daughter. Drake later denied that in his Instagram stories.
