Beyoncé Channels Pamela Anderson In “Bodyguard” Music Video That Urges People To Vote

I’m excited to share that Beyoncé has released a brand new music video that pays tribute to iconic Pamela Anderson while also encouraging everyone to get out and vote. Titled “Beywatch,” the video features Queen Bey channeling Anderson’s looks from the 1996 film “Barb Wire” and the beloved TV series “Baywatch.” Set to the track “Bodyguard” from Beyoncé’s recent country album “Cowboy Carter,” the visual features her firing a gun from the “Barb Wire” movie, while the word “vote” flashes on the screen.

Beyoncé also rocks her own take on Anderson’s famous red “Baywatch” bathing suit, but with the word “Beywatch” written across the front. The video closes out with the text “HAPPY BEYLLOWEEN” and a final reminder to “VOTE.” This release comes just days after Beyoncé made her first campaign appearance alongside Vice President Kamala Harris in Houston, TX. During the event, she described Harris as “a woman who has been pushing for what this country really needs right now—uunity.”

Beyoncé said, “We are at the precipice of an incredible shift—the brink of history.” “I’m not here as a celebrity. I’m not here as a mother. I’m not here as a politician. I’m here as a mother, deeply concerned about the world my children and all our children live in, a world where we have the freedom to control our bodies, a world without division—our past, present, and future all meet here.”
