Tom Holland Shows Support to Zendaya’s New Movie ‘Challengers’
Zendaya’s new movie hit the theatres recently and mainly received positive reviews. Tom Holland extends support to his girlfriend by sharing a sweet post of the sports drama with the caption, “I Know what I’m doing this weekend.” He shared the movie poster, which was a close-up of Zendaya as Tashi Duncan and her sunglasses reflected her love interests, Mike Faist and Josh O’Conner.
It is not Holland’s first public support for Zendaya. He also shared the trailer of the movie on his Instagram stories, which he cheered as “LETS GOOOO!” and tagged Zendaya on the post. A source related to them said they were proud of each other’s success and equally supportive.
Zendaya’s Challengers was released in the theatres on April 26. In that movie, she played the role of Tashi Duncan, a former tennis prodigy who has to retire from sports after a knee injury. She turns into a coach to train her husband to win the match. The plot further unfolds the complex relationship, including her marriage with the struggling champion and the other player(Josh O’Connor), who was her former lover. The film grossed $15 million at the box office.
During the Los Angeles premiere, Zendaya expressed her astonishment at the amount of love from her on and off-screen love interests and her family and friends.
At the London Premiere, Tom went to support Zendaya and was spotted two of them kissing. In March, Holland and her hair stylist, Law Roach, joined her at the BNP Paribas Open. During the match, the couple were spotted casually hanging in the stands. One of the pictures posted online showed Holland taking pictures of Zendaya during her conversation with Iga Swiatek, the match winner.
The pair were entangled in the romance rumor after being cast in the lead roles in Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2016, but five years later, they confirmed their relationship. During that time, they said in various interviews that they were really good friends. In 2021, they were spotted kissing in the car, which confirmed their love story.
After that, the couple keeps their relationship low profile and avoids getting close in public. But it didn’t mean they didn’t show their love for each other; they always supported each other on social media.
During an interview in 2021, Holland opened up about his wish to keep his romantic life out of public. Zendaya said in a conversation that the others watching the glimpse of her personal is “confusing and invasive.”
A source revealed that they discussed their marriage in the future. The insider also added that both are private in their relationship and were uncomfortable in the public eye.
