Rihanna Skipped the 2024 Met Gala in Last Minute

Everyone was eagerly waiting for the arrival of Rihanna at the 2024 Met Gala. unfortunately, she didn’t show up at the event. She was planning to attend the program, but as per the reports, she had to cancel the decision at the last minute because she was sick with flu.

A source told Page Six that Rihanna headed to NYC after appearing for the F1 Grand Prix in Miami. Her hairstylist was spotted greeting the security team at the Carlyle Hotel, who carried her jewels the earlier day.

During an interview with Extra, Rihanna teased her Met Gala look. She said that she was going to keep her look simple this year. She said to British Vogue earlier this year that she would not disclose any details regarding her look at the Met Gala but that her own brand would design it.

In the last few years, Rihanna and her partner made an appearance at the Met Gala, which would be fans’ favorite—being late to the party to the tradition of the couple in the event. In 2021, they appeared there at 10 pm and did the same in 2023.

The AI pictures of Rihanna started to roam around the internet, which claims that one of her looks was on the red carpet. The fake photo garnered over 2.2 million views on the internet. In that picture, she appeared to be wearing a figure-hugging dress with detailed green florals.

Last year, Rihanna and her partner, A$AP Rocky, appeared on the red carpet with Karl Lagarfeld-dedicated dress code. She wore a long white Valentino gown with a top covered in rosettes. The outfit covered her head to toe. She completes the look with cat sunglasses and fingerless gloves.
