Ralph Ineson Joins Marvel’s ‘Fantastic Four’ as Galactus
Ralph Ineson landed as the next antagonist of the MCU’s upcoming movie ‘The Fantastic Four.’ He will play the role of the planet-eating villain from the comics, Galactus.
Ineson will join the previously announced cast members, including Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm. The announcement came after the confirmation of John Malkovich and Paul Walter, who were also part of the movie in undisclosed roles.
Ineson posted a tweet on X when his casting speculation started to buzz on the internet. He wrote, “World devouring cosmic villain is it? I’ll see what I can do.”

The Fantastic Four is a superhero team created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, which was published by Marvel Comics. The notorious villain, Galactus, first appeared in the comics in 1966. The character featured a god-like figure wearing a horned purple helmet, and he gain energy by consuming living planets.
The film will be directed by Matt Shakman, who has been nominated two times for Emmy Awards for the series WandaVision. He also directed episodes for several series, including Game of Thrones, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Fargo.
The movie’s screenplay was written by Jeff Kaplan, Eric Pearson, Ian Springer, and Josh Friedman. WandaVision’s writer, Peter Cameron, is also part of the project’s script. Kevin Feige, the Marvel Studios president, will produce the film along with Grant Curtis and Nick Pepin. The production of Fantastic Four is planned to start in mid-summer in England and is scheduled to release in the theatres on July 25, 2025.
Ineson recently appeared in the film The First Omen, which is currently running in the theatre. Last year, he played the role of General Andrews in Gareth Edward’s The Creator.
