50 Cent Sues Ex Daphne Joy for Defamation After Her Following Accusation of Rape and Physical Abuse
50 Cent filed a lawsuit against his ex-girlfriend Daphne Joy for defamation after she accused him of rape and physical abuse through her Instagram post a month ago.
According to 50 Cent’s lawsuit, filed in Texas on Monday, which claims that Joy falsely accused him of rape and physical abuse, purposefully attempted to destroy his personal and business reputation, and also prevented him from seeing their 11-year-old son, Sire.
Joy posted the accusation against 50 Cent through Instagram on March 28. She put his full name- Curtis James Jackson – on the top of the post. She started the post by saying that everything was a joke to him until their safety was compromised.
She continued that she and their son moved to New York to give Jackson an opportunity to be a father to their son, and he never earned the image that she created for him in front of their son. She also added in the post that his evil actions of raping and physically abusing her.
She ended the post by stating that he had damaged the last hope of her as a father to secure their family. He had broken their heart for the last and final time.
Joy’s accusation post comes following the report of 50 Cent seeking the custody of their son, Sire, after her alleged involvement in a lawsuit of Rodney Jone against Sean “Diddy” Combs. In that lawsuit, Joy was included as one of the sex workers of Diddy.
After coming to know the claims that Joy was a sex worker of Diddy, 50 Cent decided to file for sole custody and protect their son. Joy refused the allegation through an Instagram post, saying, “I am deeply hurt by the lies in Rodney Jones’ lawsuit.”
She continued that the claim that she was a sex worker was 100% false and character assassination. She was going to hire a legal attorney and took legal action against Rodney and his attorney.
Reena Jain, the attorney of 50 Cent, made a statement that despite being given an opportunity to Joy to withdraw false and malicious accusations, she chose to break the relationship between the son and father by mentioning him as a rapist.
In his lawsuit, he asked for $1 million as monetary damages. He claimed that he was affected by the awful comments online due to the hateful statement posted by Joy.
