Cruz Beckham and Girlfriend Jackie Apostel Welcome New Family Member: Golden Retriever Puppy Named Sandy Jean

Cruz Beckham and his girlfriend, singer Jackie Apostel, have announced they are expecting a baby. They took to social media to share their latest addition: a cream-colored Golden Retriever puppy named Sandy Jean Beckham, ending rumors that the recent headlines about a “new family member” referred to a human child.

Cruz Beckham and his girlfriend Jackie Apostel have welcomed a new family pet. The couple introduced a cream-colored Golden Retriever puppy, Sandy Jean Beckham, on Instagram in early October 2026. The announcement clears up recent headlines speculating about a “sweet angel” or new family member, confirming the new arrival is a dog, not a human.

At the start of October 2026, Cruz Beckham introduced his new dog to his followers on Instagram. Cruz shared photos of himself and Apostel with the fluffy, cream-colored dog, revealing the puppy’s full name: Sandy Jean Beckham.

Fans and media outlets quickly noticed the announcement. Some early social media posts and aggregator headlines employed affectionate, ambiguous phrasing, such as welcoming a “sweet angel” or a “new family member.” This wording briefly left casual readers speculating about what the announcement meant. But confirmed reports and the visual evidence in the couple’s post leave no doubt that the new addition is a Golden Retriever puppy.

Cruz Beckham is the youngest son of Sir David and Victoria Beckham, and he is 21 years old and is carving out a career in music and fashion.

Cruz has been dating Jackie Apostel, a 30-year-old Brazilian-German pop singer and songwriter, since mid-2024. The couple have been seen out together on many occasions and have slowly been welcomed into the extended Beckham family circle.

The couple’s first shared pet is the new Golden Retriever puppy, Sandy Jean Beckham.

The Beckhams quickly rallied around their new addition. Victoria Beckham reportedly took to her son’s Instagram account to welcome the puppy to the family. “Sooooo sweet,” she posted.

Cruz kept her caption simple: just the puppy’s name, “Sandy Jean Beckham,” letting the pictures of the couple and their new pet do the talking. The couple is sharing care of the dog, with Apostel also posting pictures of the puppy on her own social media accounts.

The announcement is significant for two reasons. First, it corrects vague clickbait headlines that sometimes get splashed around social media. You might be led to believe someone’s life has changed in a big way, like a child has been born.

Second, it highlights the steady, ongoing relationship between Cruz Beckham and Jackie Apostel. Couples often see adopting a pet together as a major milestone, signifying a deeper commitment and shared responsibility. For the Beckham family, who have always been open about their love of animals, this addition is a natural and well-received development.

No official public schedule has been released for the puppy. Still, Cruz and Jackie are likely to continue sharing occasional, curated glimpses of Sandy Jean’s growth on their social media platforms. The couple is also tipped to attend upcoming public events together later this year, perhaps with their new companion.
