The release schedule for 2022 is jam-packed with exciting content, ranging from superhero blockbusters, spy movies set in casinos, and cute and adorable indies. So naturally, film fans are eagerly anticipating the upcoming slate of new releases for next year. But, we have to admit, we’re very pumped as well. The year 2022 is going to be bursting with must-see movies. Even though filming has slowed in recent years, it appears that filmmakers are back in the saddle and putting out outstanding new pictures.
The following is a one-stop-shop for all of the movies coming out in 2022, as well as when and where they will be released. I’m sure I don’t need to remind you that these release dates are subject to change, so keep an eye on the calendar. Enjoy!
Four To Dinner
In January 2022, Netflix will release Four to Dinner exclusively. Four to Dinner, a new romantic comedy film produced by Cattleya, is planned to premiere on Netflix worldwide on January 5, 2022. Alessio Maria Federici has directed many films, including Bambini (2006), Tutte lo vogliono (2015), Couple Therapy for Cheaters (2017), and One of the Family (2018).
It’s unclear what dubs will be available for the picture. Only the original Italian audio is accessible in the clips available on the movie’s title page. In 2021, Netflix distributed seven Italian films, with Baggio: The Divine Ponytail, A Classic Horror Story, and The Hand of God being among the highlights.
Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore
Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore is a direct sequel to Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald and the third installment in the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them film series, which is based on one of J. K. Rowling’s Harry Potter companion books, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. David Yates directs the film, which has a screenplay by J. K. Rowling, and Steve Kloves returns to assist. Eddie Redmayne, Jude Law, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, Callum Turner, and William Nadylam return, with Mads Mikkelsen joining the group. This film will be released on April 8, 2022, in the United Kingdom and Ireland, and April 15, 2022, in the rest of the world.
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom
It’s hard to believe it’s been so long since the first Aquaman movie was released. It will have been four years between the two films when Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is released in December. But there’s even more reason to be ecstatic. James Wan is resuming his role as director. That means there will be even more spectacular action and massive set pieces than in the previous film. What makes the film even more intriguing is that Jason Mamoa gets a writing credit, having contributed to the development of the sequel’s story.
The 355
Hollywood has long been chastised for lack of diversity in its films, and films like The 355 are attempting to alter that. The 355 is a new female-led spy thriller starring Jessica Chastain. She came up with the concept for the picture in response to decades of male-dominated spy films like the James Bond franchise. According to Universal Pictures, the film’s distributor, the 355, will be released in theaters on January 7, 2022.
As a spy story, it avoids subjects like the Cold War and the War on Terror that has been the subject of previous espionage films; instead, it takes place in a modern world where malicious non-state groups can threaten the world’s superpowers from anywhere in the world as long as they have access to the Internet.
The Retirement Plan
The cast for Productivity Media’s new action thriller The Retirement Plan has been revealed, and it looks magnificent. Nicholas Cage (Ghost Rider) and Ashley Greene (Twilight Series) will play the leading characters in the film. The Retirement Plan depicts a mother-daughter combo who become stuck in the middle of a criminal organization and flee to the Cayman Islands in search of the only person who can assist them.
